Research part of the Demotech site.

Demotech means “Democracy for Technology”. This name is based on the principle that technology can win a democratic paradise on earth if it is designed to reach all that need it and if it is designed to avoid any conflict with nature. All designs are only made of materials that is locally available, like wood, bamboo, rope, rubber and concrete. Every concept is tested on its ability to be low-tech, so it can be constructed, maintained and used by everyone. In addition, many designs have a recycling component.
