FreeCLAS stands for "Free Commons of Linguistically Annotated Speech". It's an initiative to build a high-quality data base of annotated speech. "High-quality" in that the annotations have been validated by people. Embedded in the wiki is a graphical editor, shva that is specialized for hearing, viewing and annotating the utterances in FreeCLAS.
