PurpleWiki, from Blue Oxen Associates LLC, was a WikiWikiWeb implementation which added purple numbers to paragraphs, headers, lists, and other fine-grained elements on a wiki page. These PurpleNumbers can be used to link to these elements. PurpleWiki may also be used as a document authoring system. Its features included:

• Fine-grained addressability via PurpleNumbers
• Transclusions
• Blog integration (MovableType and blosxom)
• Modular architecture for maximum customizability.

PurpleWiki was derived ( forked) from UseMod Wiki, an open source (GPL) wiki written in Perl.
